ONLINE COACHING & RESOURCES

I offer several online services to help you in your horse riding journey!

Quick Riding Assessment

Want to know what 1 or 2 things you should be working on in your riding? And you would like a professional to take a look rather than random riders on Reddit? Send me a quick 5-10 minute video of you riding and I will assess it within 3 business days!

Only $25!

Not sure where to start as a beginner rider or new horse owner?

Not sure what the difference is between timothy and alfalfa hay? Or when should you blanket your horse? Maybe you're not sure what bit you need...

Are you struggling with getting your horse to move forward? Or knowing where the saddle should be placed on the horse's back? Are you not sure how to practice on your horse between lessons?

I've made a low cost Patreon just to answer those questions. A private place you can watch a video lesson and reach out with any questions.

Want personalized 1:1 online coaching for yourself or your child?

You loved riding as a kid, you took every opportunity to be out with your horse, but now years later, you're rusty. You've come back to pick up where you left off. But you're not sure where to start, nor how to reintroduce yourself to riding and horse owning.

Maybe you're a first time horse owner and you want to talk about your horse's care.

Or perhaps you're new to horses but want to know what to practice between lessons.

Online lessons are a flexible way to get the answers you need in a welcoming space.

ABOUT ME

My name is Taryn and I'm an Equestrian Canada Licensed and Certified Western Instructor. I have been teaching kids how to ride since 2005 when I started working at a therapeutic riding camp. Afterwards, I took on the role of Head Wrangler at a kids sleep-away horseback riding camp where I was was the main instructor for six years.

I began my equestrian journey riding hunter/jumper for almost a decade before switching to western riding where I have done some training in reining, equitation, trail, ranch riding, and roping. I've competed in a variety of local shows and gymkhanas around the province in both disciplines, and competed in a rodeo in barrel racing, breakaway and team roping.

From there I trained horses professionally, and bought, started, and sold a few of my own. After a several years break due to some health complications, I've come back to the horse world and achieved my certification through Equestrian Canada and Horse Council of BC to teach beginner to intermediate kids and adults.

Let's get you in the saddle!
