ABOUT ME
My name is Taryn and I'm an Equestrian Canada Licensed and Certified Western Instructor. I have been teaching kids how to ride since 2005 when I started working at a therapeutic riding camp. Afterwards, I took on the role of Head Wrangler at a kids sleep-away horseback riding camp where I was was the main instructor for six years.

I began my equestrian journey riding hunter/jumper for almost a decade before switching to western riding where I have done some training in reining, equitation, trail, ranch riding, and roping. I've competed in a variety of local shows and gymkhanas around the province in both disciplines, and competed in a rodeo in barrel racing, breakaway and team roping.

From there I trained horses professionally, and bought, started, and sold a few of my own. After a several years break due to some health complications, I've come back to the horse world and achieved my certification through Equestrian Canada and Horse Council of BC to teach beginner to intermediate kids and adults.
